Former Kampala Lord Mayor has been further remanded and is expected to return to on June 30, 2026, for the mention of his case.
The development comes after court postponed delivering a ruling on Lukwago’s bail application, citing conditions in and around the courtroom, alongside several issues raised by the parties that required additional consideration.
According to court proceedings, the ruling on the bail application will instead be communicated within the next 24 hours through email.
The June 30 appearance also coincides with the scheduled court session involving opposition figure , whom Lukwago represents as lead counsel.
The latest development adds another layer of attention to the ongoing legal proceedings, with supporters and observers awaiting the court’s decision on whether Lukwago will be granted temporary release as the matter continues.
