Businessman and philanthropist Dr Sudhir Ruparelia has extended financial support to motorsport driver Ponsiano Lwakalaka Rwakataka, contributing Shs25 million towards his participation in a motorsport competition.
The contribution, presented through a ceremonial cheque, is aimed at supporting Rwakataka’s preparations and participation in the competition.
Sudhir’s support highlights his continued involvement in promoting sports and supporting Ugandan talent across different fields.
The Shs25 million contribution is expected to help meet some of the costs associated with motorsport, a discipline that requires significant investment in vehicle preparation, equipment, logistics and competition-related expenses.
Rwakataka expressed appreciation for the support, which comes as he prepares to represent Uganda on the motorsport scene.
The gesture adds to Sudhir Ruparelia’s long-standing support for young people, sports and community initiatives, reinforcing the role of private-sector investment in nurturing Ugandan talent.
