Victoria University has marked ten years of academic growth, with Vice Chancellor Dr Lawrence Muganga recognising businessman Dr Sudhir Ruparelia and the Ruparelia Group for their contribution to the institution’s development.
The recognition came during the university’s 10th graduation ceremony held at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, where 2,600 graduates celebrated the completion of their studies.
Muganga acknowledged the role played by Sudhir and the Ruparelia Group in supporting the university’s growth as it seeks to strengthen its position in Uganda’s higher education sector.
Dr Sudhir was represented at the ceremony by Victoria University Council Vice Chairperson Jay Sakaria and Board of Directors member Meera Ruparelia.
As the institution enters its second decade, attention is turning to how it can strengthen academic quality, expand technology-driven learning and equip graduates with practical skills to meet the demands of an evolving employment market.
The milestone also highlights the role of investment and institutional leadership in supporting higher education and preparing young people to contribute to Uganda’s social and economic development.
