Earlier today, the Woman Member of Parliament for Sironko District, Hon. Asha Mafabi Nabulo, joined the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, at the launch of the Malaria Walk, an initiative aimed at raising awareness and strengthening the fight against malaria in Uganda.
The event brought together leaders, health stakeholders, and members of the public to promote malaria prevention, early diagnosis, and effective treatment. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to supporting government efforts to reduce malaria-related illnesses and deaths, particularly among children and pregnant women.
Hon. Nabulo emphasised the importance of community participation in eliminating malaria and called on Ugandans to embrace preventive measures such as sleeping under insecticide-treated mosquito nets, maintaining clean surroundings, and seeking prompt medical care whenever symptoms arise.
