Former Speaker of Parliament Anita Among has reportedly lost access to official parliamentary vehicles after all cars that had been stationed at her residence in Nakasero were withdrawn and returned to Parliament.
The development comes amid ongoing changes within the parliamentary leadership and transition processes following recent political developments within the ruling National Resistance Movement.
Sources indicate that the vehicles, which were attached to the Office of the Speaker, were today driven back to the Parliamentary parking yard as part of official administrative procedures.
The move has already sparked discussion among political observers and members of the public, with many interpreting it as a significant signal in the changing dynamics within Uganda’s top political leadership.
Neither Parliament nor Anita Among had officially commented on the matter by press time.
