Pressure Mounts on FUFA Boss Magogo as Mike Mutyaba Seeks IGG Probe
Former Mike Mutyaba has intensified scrutiny on the leadership of Ugandan football after petitioning the Inspector General of Government to investigate Moses Hassim Magogo over allegations of misuse of office, unexplained wealth, and possible conflict of interest.
The petition marks one of the strongest public challenges yet against the long-serving Federation of Uganda Football Associations president and is expected to spark fresh debate over accountability and transparency within football administration in Uganda.
Mutyaba, a former Uganda Cranes midfielder, is reportedly calling for a thorough investigation into Magogo’s conduct and financial dealings during his tenure at the helm of Ugandan football.
The development has already generated mixed reactions among football stakeholders, with some describing the move as a bold step toward demanding transparency in sports leadership, while others view it as a sign of growing divisions within football circles.
Political and sports analysts say the petition could increase pressure on football authorities to improve governance structures and strengthen public trust in sports institutions.
Neither Magogo nor FUFA had officially responded to the allegations by the time of publication.
