Ugandan business magnate Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia has called on young people to prioritize gaining practical work experience before venturing into entrepreneurship, saying patience and gradual learning are key ingredients for business success.

Speaking during a live interview on the Saturday Walla Show at Next Media Park, Ruparelia emphasized that many aspiring entrepreneurs rush into business without first understanding how industries operate.
According to the founder of the Ruparelia Group, graduates should spend at least two to three years working in their chosen fields to acquire the skills, discipline, and knowledge needed to build sustainable enterprises.
He noted that successful businesses are built by individuals who identify problems in society and provide solutions, rather than chasing quick profits.
Ruparelia also highlighted the importance of job creation, describing it as one of the main driving forces behind his investments across sectors such as real estate, hospitality, education, and agriculture.
He urged established business leaders to mentor younger generations and create opportunities that can help tackle unemployment and drive economic growth.
The businessman further encouraged successful individuals to give back to their communities, saying economic progress should be accompanied by social responsibility.
His remarks come at a time when Uganda continues to promote entrepreneurship as a tool for addressing youth unemployment and stimulating economic development.
