KAMPALA
Newly appointed Government Liaison Officer in the Office of the President, Briton Kiwanuka, has pledged to support President Yoweri Museveni’s efforts to fight corruption and misuse of public resources in government institutions.
Kiwanuka said he will work with government agencies and local authorities to identify challenges affecting service delivery and ensure citizens’ concerns reach the relevant authorities.
He urged public officials to uphold integrity, transparency and accountability, warning that misuse of government resources undermines service delivery and public confidence.
Kiwanuka also pledged to strengthen communication between government and communities and support efforts to ensure government programmes benefit Ugandans.
He said his role will focus on coordination, accountability and ensuring service delivery challenges are identified and addressed in time.
