Ugandan business executive Sheena Ruparelia is playing a key role in transforming the country’s hospitality and real estate sectors through major investments aimed at boosting tourism, conferences, and economic growth.
As Director of the Ruparelia Group, Sheena has overseen the renovation and expansion of several landmark properties, including Speke Resort Munyonyo and Kabira Country Club, projects that have strengthened Uganda’s capacity to host international events.
Among her notable achievements is her involvement in the development of the Speke Resort Convention Centre, a facility that hosted global gatherings such as the Non-Aligned Movement Summit and the G77+China Summit, attracting thousands of delegates to Uganda.
Sheena says her focus extends beyond business growth to creating world-class infrastructure that enhances Uganda’s competitiveness as a regional destination for investment and tourism.
She is also spearheading several large-scale construction projects, including residential apartments, business parks, and hospitality facilities, which are expected to create employment opportunities and contribute to the country’s economic development.
Observers say her work reflects a growing trend of young Ugandan business leaders taking an active role in shaping the country’s future through strategic investment and innovation.
